Ozark Water Department To "Smoke Test" Sewer Mains

In an effort to find leaks with in the sewer system the Ozark Water Department will be conducting "Smoke Tests" on the system.  This is being done to control ground/rainwater from entering the sewer system and causing sewer overflows during heavy rain events.

Customers will be notified when crews are working in their area. Worked is expected to last for several months. If you have any questions you can contact the Ozark Water Department at 479-667-3554.

Construction Has Begun On A New 1.2 Million Gallon Clearwell At The Water Treatment Plant.

Work has begun on the construction of a new 1.2 million gallon clearwell. The new tank is scheduled to be completed during the summer of 2016. Also as a part of this project will be the additon of a Carbon Feed Facility and a Sodium Permangenate Feed Building.

Once the new tank is completed the existing 750,000 gallon clearwell will be painted. The project is being funded by from a construction bond and is expected to cost 1.8 million dollars.
